Let’s hear it for the Luxe! G Priv 2 goes regal

The crew here at UKEcigstore know each other pretty well, so you can imagine my surprise when I came in to see a touch screen device in the hands of an anxious David, who swore that it was a better screen than the one on his phone! Of course, I didn’t believe him but I felt obliged to check it out and report back to you, my favourite readers.

Here we go, the G-Priv 2 Luxe Edition. First off, let’s distinguish between the standard G-Priv 2 and the Luxe edition. What makes this so Luxe?

Well, the 230w power with temperature control is featured on the original G-Priv, which by the way is a hell of a lot of power. On top of that, it’s still powered by two 18650s, the button layout or lack thereof is still the same, with the sleep/wake button sitting proudly above the palm/fire button on the left of the device. It’s still threaded for a 510 device and it still looks and feels great to the touch, including the three click lock which by the way, feels a little contradictory to me, having such a beautiful touch screen with the 2.0 panel and not having a touch lock/unlock function?

The Luxe Edition is basically a better looking version of the original. And importantly it comes packaged with the new V12 Prince Tank (I don’t really have to tell you how good that is do I? Check out the review here). Secondly, the Prince matches the mod with the honeycomb design motif, same story with the drip tip colour scheme and even the battery cover. This gives us one flawless looking device. The styling of the mod is simple, clean and a little architecturally inspired in my opinion, with the accents reminiscent of a steel structure with it’s faceted design.

This fantastic little device comes with an even better chip, and the best part is that you no longer have to click a billion times to get into a menu or even select variable wattage mode or temperature control mode. The touch screen is honestly so good that I adored it from the very first touch. It's simple, super crisp, super tactile and the operating system is so nicely laid out that you’re only ever a touch or two away from any of the options.

It might be hard for me to admit since this isn't a mech mod or something jazzy but let's be real here. Things have changed! Mods are really awesome now, and better still, both mods and tanks have advanced so much that you don't really have to sell your soul for a device anymore, with the G-Priv 2 Luxe Edition being an excellent example.
