OXVA is one of the fastest-growing vape brands in the UK right now, and for good reason. Founded in November 2019 by Justin Lai, formerly Product Director at Geekvape, the brand launched with a single focus: pod kits that deliver genuinely consistent flavour from the first puff to the last. It now sells in over 60 countries and picked up 30 industry awards in 2025 alone.

If you are new to OXVA or trying to work out which kit to buy, this guide covers the current UK range, which device suits which type of vaper, and how the pod system works across the kits in the range. Every kit and pod below is available at UK ECIG STORE.

Good news if you are buying hardware: the October 2026 UK Vaping Products Duty applies to e-liquid only. Every OXVA kit and every replacement pod on this page is completely unaffected by the change, so there is no need to rush a hardware purchase before the deadline. If you also buy e-liquid alongside your kit, our full guide to the October 2026 vape duty guide explains what is changing and when.

Who Are OXVA and Why Do Vapers Rate Them?

Before OXVA, Justin Lai spent years at Geekvape developing some of the most reliable hardware in the industry. When he started OXVA in 2019, he brought the same engineering rigour to a more compact format. The result was the Xlim series, which became the dominant refillable pod kit across Southeast Asia before breaking through in the UK and Europe.

What separates OXVA from most pod kit brands is focus. OXVA makes refillable pod kits and nothing else. No disposables, no box mods, no tank-and-coil systems competing for development resource. Every piece of technology in an OXVA device, from the chipset to the pod material to the airflow geometry, is built for one purpose: consistent flavour in a compact, pocketable device.

In 2025, the Xlim Pro 3 was named Best Overall Pod System by multiple publications including Vaping360, and the brand picked up its 30th industry award of the year. That track record is why vapers who try OXVA tend to stick with it.

The Current OXVA UK Range

The OXVA range in the UK covers three device families: the Xlim series, the flagship refillable pod line; the NeXlim series, built around dual mesh coil technology; and the VPrime, OXVA's higher-output, more open-draw option. Understanding the difference between them is the starting point for choosing the right kit, so we've broken each one down below.

The Xlim Series: The Flagship Refillable Pod Line

The Xlim is what OXVA built its reputation on. The current UK range includes three Xlim devices, from the simplest possible starting point through to full touchscreen control. Every device in the series uses the same Xlim V3 top-fill pods, so pods bought for one Xlim kit work in any other Xlim kit in the range.

Xlim C

OXVA Xlim C Pod Kit, Gradient Blue colourway

The Xlim C is the simplest and most affordable entry point into the OXVA range. Draw-activated only, with no screen and no settings to adjust, it is built for anyone switching from cigarettes or disposables who wants a device with nothing to learn. Just fill the pod and inhale.

It uses a 900mAh battery, which is smaller than the rest of the range but well matched to its fixed, low-wattage output and all-day MTL draw. Like every device in the Xlim family, it uses the same Xlim V3 top-fill pods, so if you upgrade to a Pro 3 or 3 Ultra later, your pods carry across with no waste.

Battery: 900mAh, USB-C charging

Pods: Xlim V3 Top Fill (0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm)

Best for: Anyone switching from cigarettes or disposables who wants zero settings to think about

Xlim Pro 3

OXVA Xlim Pro 3 Pod Kit, Pro Carbon colourway

The Xlim Pro 3 is the kit we would recommend to most vapers. A 1500mAh battery gives genuine all-day performance, with 5 to 30W of adjustable output and a 1.05-inch HD colour screen showing wattage, battery level, resistance and puff count. It supports both draw-activated and button firing, so it suits whichever style you're used to.

Powered by OXVA's PHOTON Chip and Pulse System, it automatically recognises which Xlim V3 pod is fitted and sets the ideal wattage for it, then holds flavour consistent all the way down to 20% battery rather than tailing off in the last third of the charge like most pod kits. It's available in 15 colourways, and it's the kit our team recommends most often to customers making the switch from cigarettes or disposables.

Battery: 1500mAh, up to 30W, Type-C fast charging

Pods: Xlim V3 Top Fill (0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm)

Best for: Most vapers, the best all-round balance of simplicity, control and battery life

Xlim 3 Ultra

OXVA Xlim 3 Ultra Pod Kit, Mint Green colourway

The Xlim 3 Ultra has everything the Pro 3 has, plus a 2.2-inch full touchscreen with swipe controls, vertical adjustable airflow, a physical fire button lock, and detailed puff tracking with daily, weekly and monthly statistics. Same 1500mAh battery, same up-to-30W output, same full Xlim V3 pod compatibility.

The chip here runs Super Pulse output paired with UniTech 2.0 coil technology, which boosts flavour density and extends pod lifespan on top of the consistency the Pro 3 already delivers. If you want the most information and the most control over your device, this is the one to pick.

Battery: 1500mAh, up to 30W, Type-C fast charging

Pods: Xlim V3 Top Fill (0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm)

Best for: Vapers who want full control: touchscreen, adjustable airflow and puff statistics

The NeXlim Series: Dual Mesh, Bigger Flavour

NeXlim is OXVA's dual mesh series. Where Xlim pods use a single mesh coil, every NeXlim pod runs two independent mesh layers simultaneously in Boost mode, which OXVA says delivers roughly double the flavour intensity of a single mesh pod, alongside a milder Eco mode for all-day use. The draw across the series is more open than a typical Xlim, so NeXlim suits vapers who have already made the switch from cigarettes and want noticeably richer flavour, rather than someone coming straight from smoking.

The current UK range includes three NeXlim devices: the pocket-sized NeXlim Go, the compact NeXlim 2 Mini, and the flagship NeXlim 2. NeXlim pods are not cross-compatible with Xlim V3 or VPrime pods; they are a separate pod family for a separate range of devices.

NeXlim Go

OXVA NeXlim Go Pod Kit, Space Gray colourway

The NeXlim Go is the simplest and most affordable route into the dual mesh range. It's auto-draw only, firing in 0.01 seconds with no button needed, and the logo on the device doubles as a smart battery indicator so you always know when it needs charging.

An 1800mAh battery lasts up to 10 days in Eco mode and recharges fully in around 45 minutes. Like the original NeXlim, it uses the standard NeXlim Replacement Pod Cartridges, switching between Boost and Eco mode automatically to balance flavour intensity against coil lifespan.

Battery: 1800mAh, up to 40W, Type-C charging

Pods: NeXlim Replacement Pod Cartridges (0.6, 0.8ohm)

Best for: Vapers who want dual mesh flavour with zero settings, just inhale to fire

Shop NeXlim Go

NeXlim 2 Mini

OXVA NeXlim 2 Mini Pod Kit, Solar Gold colourway

The NeXlim 2 Mini shrinks the NeXlim 2 into a smaller, aluminium-alloy body without dropping the dual mesh flavour. There's no screen; instead a 3-colour LED shows battery level at a glance, and a simple double-tap of the touch switch swaps between Boost and Eco modes.

It uses the newer NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 cartridge, which adds 3x anti-leak protection over the original NeXlim pods and is rated for 20 to 30 refills per cartridge. It stays backward-compatible with the original NeXlim Replacement Pod Cartridges too. A 1500mAh battery recharges to 80% in around 30 minutes, though note the Type-C cable is sold separately.

Battery: 1500mAh, up to 30W, Type-C charging (cable not included)

Pods: NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 cartridges (0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm), backward-compatible with original NeXlim pods

Best for: Vapers who want the smallest, most pocketable NeXlim with no screen to worry about

Shop NeXlim 2 Mini

NeXlim 2

OXVA NeXlim 2 Pod Kit, Bright Brown Leather colourway

The NeXlim 2 is the flagship of the dual mesh range, stepping up to a 2000mAh battery and 5V/3A fast charging that reaches 80% in around 20 minutes, a 50% faster charge than the original NeXlim. A 0.85-inch HD colour screen adds 10 unlockable themes, and 3-level airflow control covers everything from a tight MTL draw to a looser RDL inhale.

It runs OXVA's Dual Mesh x Super Pulse System alongside the new NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 cartridge, which adds a larger condensate chamber for 3x anti-leak protection and is rated for 20 to 30 refills. It stays backward-compatible with the original NeXlim Replacement Pod Cartridges too, so existing NeXlim owners can upgrade without losing their spare pods.

Battery: 2000mAh, up to 40W, Type-C fast charging

Pods: NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 cartridges (0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm), backward-compatible with original NeXlim pods

Best for: Vapers who want the richest NeXlim flavour with full screen control and the biggest battery in the series

Shop NeXlim 2

VPrime

OXVA VPrime Pod Kit, Blue Leather colourway

The VPrime is OXVA's larger-format, higher-output option, built around a 2600mAh battery and up to 60W of power, enough for genuine RDL and DTL clouds rather than a tight MTL draw. It's OXVA's first auto-draw DTL pod system, meaning it fires on inhale with no button needed, even on the lowest 0.2ohm resistance pod.

It sits closer to a compact sub-ohm device than a typical MTL pod kit, and suits vapers who want more vapour and are comfortable with lower nicotine strengths in higher-VG e-liquid. VPrime pods (0.2, 0.4 and 0.6ohm) are specific to the VPrime device and do not cross over with the Xlim or NeXlim range.

Battery: 2600mAh, up to 60W, auto-draw or button fire

Pods: VPrime pods only (0.2, 0.4, 0.6ohm), device-specific

Best for: Vapers who want more vapour production and a more open, DTL-style draw

Pod Compatibility: What Fits What

This is the most practical question most OXVA users have. Here is the confirmed compatibility for the current UK range.

Device Pod Family Resistances Cross-Compatible With
Xlim C Xlim V3 Top Fill 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.2ohm All other Xlim kits
Xlim Pro 3 Xlim V3 Top Fill 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.2ohm All other Xlim kits
Xlim 3 Ultra Xlim V3 Top Fill 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.2ohm All other Xlim kits
NeXlim Go NeXlim Replacement Pod Cartridges 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm NeXlim family only, not Xlim/VPrime
NeXlim 2 Mini NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.2ohm NeXlim family only, not Xlim/VPrime
NeXlim 2 NeXlim UNITECH 3.0 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.2ohm NeXlim family only, not Xlim/VPrime
VPrime VPrime pods 0.2ohm, 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm VPrime only, device-specific

The single most useful feature of the Xlim range is that every V3 pod bought for any Xlim kit fits every other Xlim kit. If you start on an Xlim C and later upgrade to a Pro 3, your existing pods carry across with no waste. This is not the case across the full OXVA range: NeXlim and VPrime pods are specific to those devices.

Which Nicotine Strength With an OXVA Kit?

The right nicotine strength depends on two things: how much you smoked before switching, and which pod resistance you are using.

If you smoked more than 10 cigarettes a day: start at 20mg nic salt with the 0.8ohm or 1.2ohm Xlim V3 pod. The 1.2ohm pod gives the tightest, most cigarette-like draw.

If you used a disposable vape at 20mg: stay at 20mg and use the 0.8ohm pod in the Xlim C or Pro 3. The experience will feel familiar.

If you smoked fewer than 10 cigarettes a day: start at 10mg with the 0.8ohm pod.

If you are stepping down from higher nicotine: try 10mg with the 0.6ohm pod. The slightly more open draw at lower resistance gives more vapour per puff, which compensates for less nicotine per ml.

All Xlim V3 pods work best with 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid. OX Passion nic salts, OXVA's own-brand range, are formulated specifically for Xlim pods and available in 10mg and 20mg strengths across 30 flavours.

The PHOTON Chip and Pulse System: What They Actually Do

These are the two technologies OXVA leads with on the Xlim Pro 3 and 3 Ultra, and they are worth understanding rather than treating as marketing language.

The Pulse System addresses the most common frustration with pod kits: flavour that starts strong and progressively weakens as the battery drains. Most pod kits drop significantly in output below 40% battery, which means the last third of every charge tastes flat or weak. The Pulse System maintains consistent output down to 20% battery, at which point OXVA's own data shows 80%+ flavour consistency versus competitors dropping to 50%. In practical terms, the vape you get at 5% battery feels close to the vape you got at 100%.

Smart Wattage Detection is a separate feature that reads the resistance of whichever pod is inserted and automatically sets the recommended wattage. You do not need to manually adjust settings when switching between a 0.8ohm and 0.4ohm pod: the device reads the pod and adjusts itself.

How to Get the Best From Your OXVA Xlim V3 Pods

  • Prime a new pod before first use. Fill it, leave it for five minutes, then take a few light puffs before vaping normally. This saturates the wick and prevents a dry, burnt hit on the first draw.
  • Replace the pod when flavour turns muted, burnt, or persistently weak. Most V3 pods last 7 to 14 days with regular use across 3 to 4 refills.
  • Do not run the pod completely dry before refilling. Vaping on an empty pod scorches the wick and ends the pod prematurely.
  • Use 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid. High-VG liquids are too thick to wick efficiently in Xlim pods and will cause dry hits regardless of how well the pod was primed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best OXVA kit for a beginner?

The Xlim C is the simplest starting point: draw-activated only, with no settings to adjust. If you want a screen and the ability to customise wattage, the Xlim Pro 3 is the better choice and the one we would recommend to most people switching from cigarettes or disposables.

Can I use NeXlim pods in my Xlim Pro 3?

No. NeXlim pods (used across the NeXlim Go, NeXlim 2 Mini and NeXlim 2) are specific to the NeXlim range and are not compatible with any Xlim kit. The Xlim range uses Xlim V3 top-fill pods. The two pod families are completely separate.

What is the difference between the Xlim Pro 3 and the Xlim 3 Ultra?

Both share the same 1500mAh battery, 5-30W output, Pulse System, and Xlim V3 pod compatibility. The Pro 3 has a 1.05-inch colour screen and single-button controls. The 3 Ultra has a 2.2-inch full touchscreen with swipe controls, vertical airflow, a physical fire button lock, and detailed puff statistics. The Pro 3 is for everyday simplicity, the Ultra is for vapers who want full control and customisation.

How often do I need to replace OXVA Xlim V3 pods?

Most users get 7 to 14 days from a single V3 pod with regular vaping and 3 to 4 refills. The signs that a pod needs replacing are a burnt or muted flavour, persistent gurgling when drawing, or noticeably reduced vapour. Priming a new pod before first use extends its life significantly.

Are OXVA kits suitable for someone switching from cigarettes?

Yes, and the Xlim range is specifically well-suited to the transition. The 1.2ohm pod delivers the tightest, most cigarette-like draw in the range. Paired with a 20mg nic salt e-liquid at 50/50 VG/PG, it gives fast nicotine delivery and a smooth throat hit. We would recommend starting on the Xlim C or Xlim Pro 3 with the 1.2ohm or 0.8ohm pod at 20mg.
