Smok Coils, Which Should You Go For?
Hello and welcome to our blog dedicated to popular Smok coils. It can be hard sometimes to know which coils you should be going for, so we decided to break down the best options for you, regardless of the device you are using. So don't worry if you've just got your brand new smok ecig kit from our vape shop and are unsure on which is the best smok coil for you.
Smok UK has partnered with us at UK ECIG STORE to distribute Smok vape kits, starter e-cigarettes across Europe, below you'll find the best smok coils for your device with a thorough breakdown on how each smok vape coil performs with your vape pod system.
Although being around for some time, the Nord is quite popular as a device, and has many users. The coils available for this device are the following:
- Nord 0.6 ohm Mesh Coils (Included in the box)
- Nord 0.6 ohm DC Coils -Nord 1.4 ohm Ceramic Coils
- Nord 1.4 ohm Coils (Included in the box, pre-installed in the Pod)
Which Smok Nord coils are the best for Mouth To Lung?
In the case you are on Nic Salt, you can go for the Nord 0.8 ohm Mesh MTL Coils, as they are the best one due to the mesh coils. If you are on pure base nicotine, then you have a few options based on what you are after. If you like a smooth hit, then you should go for the Nord 0.8 ohm DC MTL Coils, but instead if you like a strong throat hit from your device, then i'd suggest trying the Nord 1.4 Ceramic Coils, or using the Nord 1.4 ohm Coils that have been included in the box with yoru Smok Nord Device.

For Sub-Ohm we will definitely recommend the Nord 0.6 ohm Mesh Coils, as they tend to last longer than the other coils available, and produce the most could and best flavour.
Rpm 40, Fetch Mini And Nord 2 Coils:
All these devices, RPM 40 , Fetch Mini and Nord 2, run on the same compatible coils, which are the Nord coils (for the original Smok Nord), and the newly implemented by Smok, the RPM Coils. Please see all coils available for those devices below:
^ Coils for the Nord Pod included in the device’s box:
- Nord 0.6 ohm DC Coils (Included in the box for RPM40 and Fetch Mini, pre-installed in the Pod)
- Nord 0.8 ohm DC MTL Coils (Included in the box for Nord 2, pre-installed in the Pod)
^ Coils for the RPM Pod included in the device:
- RPM 0.4 ohm Mesh Coils (Included in all devices, pre-installed in the Pod)
Which Smok Nord Pod / RPM Pod coils are the best for Mouth To Lung?
When talking about the Nord Pod, if we are using Nic Salt E-Liquid, a mentioned previously, we recommend the Nord 0.8 ohm Mesh MTL Coilsl, and if we are on purebase nicotine e-liquid, we definitely recommend to go for the Nord 1.4 regular or ceramic. The main difference between the two, is that the ceramic is really silent, and gives a smoother hit compared to the regular, which will get hotter than the ceramic and uses slightly more juice.
If instead you prefer to use the RPM coil, I would either recommend the Smok RPM MTL DC 0.8 ohm or the RPM Quartz 1.2 Ohm Coils. The main difference stands in the cloud production which is superior in the 0.8 MTL and the throat hit superior on the RPM Quartz 1.2 Ohm Coils.
If you are looking into coils for pure base nicotine ejuices, then there’s no doubt, the Quartz 1.2 Ohm Coil is the best for you, as it runs at 12W, and any other coil will not deliver a similar throat hit.
Which Smok Nord Pod / RPM Pod coils are best for Direct To Lung?
For the Nord Pod there is realistically only one best option, the Nord 0.6 ohm Mesh Coils, as previously mentioned, is superior on both cloud production and in delivering intense flavour.
Then when getting into the RPM Pod, here we will find more options, but the best in delivering both flavour and cloud production, is the RPM 0.4 ohm Mesh Coils, which is also included in all the devices box. If you tried it and wanted to see all options, then you should go for the Triple 0.6 ohm Coils .
Smok RPM80 & RPM80 Pro Vape Pod Kits:
The latest and perhaps most advanced in the family of Smok’s Pod Mods, we find the RPM80 and the RPM80 Pro. Both with the similar features among one another, the difference stands on the battery type, where the RPM 80 adopts an internal 3000mAh battery, the RPM 80 Pro has an external 18650 battery (Not Included). They both can run RPM coils and the latest release, the RGC coils. Please see the coils available for the devices below:
^ Coils for the Smok RPM Pod included in the device:
- RPM 0.4 ohm Mesh Coils (Included in all devices, pre-installed in the Pod)
For the RGC Pod included in the device:
Which Smok RPM80 coils are the best for Mouth To Lung?
When talking about MTL, there’s 2 coils that are suggested to be used with these devices. The first one would be the RPM MTL DC 0.8 ohm for nic salts e-liquids, and the Quartz 1.2 Ohm Coil for pretty much all 50/50 or high PG liquids.

When using Sub-Ohm, you can have the option to use both pods provided in the box. The RPM Pod has the 0.4 ohm Mesh coil available which is also included in the packaging, but if you wanted to try a different one, another good option is the Triple 0.6 ohm Coil.
Then when we get to the RGC Pod, the only option currently available is the RGC 0.17 Ohm Mesh Coil. Yes, currently it is the only one available, but it's also the best coil overall that you can use with any of the RPM80 devices, due to the massive cloud production, and not to mention the impressive flavour that provides when using High VG E-Liquids.
This is the tank that came out with Smok’s new generation of vape kit devices which are the Smok Species, Morph, Kiss, D-Barrel, S-Barrel, Mag Grip, Mag P3 and the Smok 80W kit. Please see below which coils are available for these devices:
Which Smok TFV Mini V2 coils are best for Direct To Lung?
All coils available are compatible with Sub-Ohm vaping. The main 2 coils I would like to mention are the Mini V2 A1 Mesh Coils, which is probably the most reliable if you like to vape at higher wattages (40-100W), and are best used between 60 to 80W. Otherwise, if you prefer more of a standard 40W vaping power, I would recommend the V2 S1 Mesh Coils, which are best used between 50 to 70W.
Smok TFV8 Baby Coils:
The Smok Baby Beast tank has been around for quite some time now, but it has not ceased yet due to being so popular. There are many coils available for this tank and other compatible tanks, let’s see them below:
Which Smok TFV8 Baby coils are best for Direct To Lung?
The options as you can see are plenty, but there is only one coil that stands out, and is the TFV8 V8 Baby Mesh Coils - 0.15 ohm. The flavour and cloud production are at the peak for this and compatible tanks, when using this coil due to the Mesh coil feature that other coils form the range do not have.
^ Here you can see which popular tanks, are compatible with the Smok Baby Beast Coils:
- Wotofo Flow Tank
- Vaporesso NRG Tank
- Eleaf Ello Tank
- Eleaf Ello Mini Tank
- Eleaf Mini XL Tank
- OBS Cube Tank
- Rev Drift Tank
- CoilArt Mage Sub-Ohm Mesh Tank
Smok Prince (P-Tank) Coils:
The Smok Prince has been quite popular in the past years among the market, therefore i decided to cover them too, as the users are still out there. Please see all the available Prince coils below:
Which Smok Prince coils are best for Direct To Lung?
Again here we have quite an option, and actually most of those coils are pretty good for Sub-Ohm vaping. The best ones are the Prince Strip coils and the latest P-Tank Max Mesh Coils 0.17 ohm. The Strip Coil has great flavour and tends to last longer than your average coil, due to it’s Kanthal wire. The best overall performance wise, is the P-tank Max Mesh, superior over all in flavour and cloud production. This is the latest coil that Smok has released for this tank.
