Vandy Vape Mesh 24 RTA Staff Review

Overview:

Known for their great line of atomisers, Vandy Vape has released yet another one in their RTA series. As the name suggests, this RTA is built to use with mesh material, although if you really wanted to you could install Kanthal or stainless-steel wire. Featuring a vertical clamp-style deck and a dual top airflow control system, this tank has been creatively designed to be leak-free. The top fill system has an intriguing sliding catch mechanism: simply slide out, fill up and slide it back in. The tank comes with a “step shaped” extension glass which increases the tank from 2ml to 4ml.

  Personal opinion:

Vandy Vape is well known for its top-quality atomisers and the Mesh 24 RTA is no exception. Structurally, this tank is solid and aesthetically appealing. I also appreciate the choice in drip tips offered: resin, Delrin and Ultem to suit your preference.

Looking deeper, this RTA features a clamp-style build deck, perfect for installing the mesh wire. There are however a couple of issues I did come across:

1. Wicking the build was difficult. Do not completely pack the RTA with cotton as this tank will struggle with saturating and vaporising your e-liquid. At the same time don’t put too little cotton in it as it could cause the tank to flood.

2. Don’t overfill the tank, this too can cause flooding. Keep in mind that the tank has a top airflow, so if it does flood, you could potentially be sucking hot e-liquid into your mouth during use.

The dual top airflow works wonderfully, providing you with a cool and smooth vape. If the airflow is open too wide for your taste, it can be controlled by sliding the catch from left to right to tighten your draw.

Conclusion:

Overall, this RTA is a great addition to Vandy Vape’s line of atomisers. You will, however, need to spend a little time playing around with the cotton to ensure that it wicks correctly without running into any problems. This RTA is certainly a great tank to choose if you’re a flavour chaser.

In comparison to similar atomisers out there in the market, the Mesh 24 RTA follows closely to the Cthulhu Ceto Mesh RDA. They both have been designed for the use of mesh material being the main source of configuration, however, the Ceto RDA includes a BF squonking pin as an additional variation and added convenience since squonking mods have been making a huge come back. If you like to carry a full tank of e-liquid, with the added benefit of it being an RTA built for flavour, the Vandy Vape Mesh 24 RTA would be the one for you.
