Vaporesso Coils & Pods

Vaporesso uses three main coil and pod families across their range: COREX 3.0 pods for XROS kits, GTX coils for Armour and Luxe devices, and GTI coils for iTank-based kits. Choosing the wrong type is the most common ordering mistake. Use the compatibility guide below to confirm which coil or pod your device requires before ordering.

About Vaporesso Coils & Pods

Vaporesso offers a wide range of vape kits, each supported by specially designed accessories such as coils and pods. Whatever kit you choose, you’ll find compatible options built to deliver the best possible performance and flavour. This makes it simple to customise or maintain your device, so you can always enjoy a consistently great vaping experience.

COREX 3.0 Pods: For XROS Kits

COREX 3.0 is the current pod standard for all XROS 5 and XROS 6 range devices. COREX pods are cross-compatible across the XROS 6, XROS 5 Nano, XROS 5 Mini, and XROS Pro 2. Available in multiple resistances: 0.4 ohm for an open RDL draw, 0.6 ohm for a medium MTL draw, 0.8 ohm for standard MTL, and 1.0 ohm for a tighter MTL draw. All pods have a 2ml capacity and fill via a side-port silicone stopper.

GTX Coils: For Armour and Luxe Devices

GTX coils are used in the Armour G, Armour GS, and Luxe series devices. Available in 0.2 ohm and 0.3 ohm for sub-ohm DTL vaping, 0.6 ohm for RDL, and 0.8 and 1.2 ohm for MTL. GTX coils are not cross-compatible with COREX pods. If your device is from the Armour or Luxe range, it takes GTX coils.

GTI Coils: For iTank-based Kits

GTI coils are used in the iTank and iTank 2 that ship with higher-power Vaporesso kits. Available in 0.15 and 0.4 ohm options for sub-ohm and DTL vaping. GTI coils are not cross-compatible with GTX or COREX systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What coils fit the Vaporesso XROS range?

The current XROS range (XROS 6, XROS 5 Nano, XROS 5 Mini, XROS Pro 2) uses COREX 3.0 pods. These are not traditional coils but sealed pod units with an integrated mesh coil and cotton wick. COREX 3.0 pods are cross-compatible across all current XROS models. Older XROS devices (XROS 3, XROS 4) used COREX 2.0 or earlier pod generations.

What is the difference between GTX and GTI coils?

GTX coils are used in Vaporesso's Armour and Luxe range devices. GTI coils are used in the iTank and iTank 2 that ship with higher-power kits. The two families are not cross-compatible with each other or with COREX pods. Check your device manual or product description to confirm which coil type your kit requires before ordering.

How long do Vaporesso COREX pods last?

With regular moderate use, COREX 3.0 pods typically last 7 to 14 days before flavour becomes muted or a burnt taste appears. Coil life varies depending on the e-liquid used, wattage setting, and frequency of vaping. Using sweetened e-liquids shortens coil life. Priming the pod correctly when first installed extends coil life.

How do I prime a Vaporesso COREX pod?
After filling or installing a new COREX pod, wait 5 minutes before vaping to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the cotton wick. Taking a few short primer puffs without activating the device also helps. Vaping immediately on a dry coil produces a burnt taste and shortens pod life significantly.
