Disposable Vape Ban

Are Disposable Vapes being banned?

Yes. In October 2024 the government updated the plan for disposable vapes to be banned in the UK in order to minimise the environmental impact and also to reduce the uptake of vaping by under 18s. The disposable ban is due to come in to force in June 2025. What vapes are being banned?

The vape ban will include single use vapes, which the government has classified as vapes that are non-rechargeable and non-refillable. This means that all 600 puff vapes such as the Elfbar 600, Lost Mary BM600 and SKE Crystal Bar will all be affected by the ban. In line with the current information that is available from the government, high capacity vapes such as the ELFBAR AF5000 and Lost Mary BM6000 which are rechargeable will not be affected by the ban.

 

How can I beat the Disposable Vape Ban?

Whilst you cannot stop the disposable vape ban from happening, there are a number of options for you to personally beat the disposable ban

When you inhale through the device, the airflow sensor will activate the battery, which will, in turn, heat up the coil. This will vaporise the e-liquid in the pod, allowing it to pass through to the mouthpiece.

CAN I TRAVEL WITH DISPOSABLE VAPES?

If you are just looking to travel locally, then absolutely. The compact size and all in one nature make disposables perfect for using on the go.

If you’re travelling by plane, then you should remember that all vapes contain a battery, so should be placed in your carry-on luggage and not in the hold.Make sure to check on the laws for your particular destination as some countries do not allow the use of any type of e-cigarettes.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN A DISPOSABLE RUNS OUT?

There are several parts of a disposable that can be recycled. Unfortunately it’s not as simple as putting it in your local recycling bin, as many local recycling services are not set up to accept them.
